So I’m at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, watching folks set up for the International Cannabis and Hemp Expo. There are large areas indoors and outdoors for Prop. 215 patients (bring current recommendation and California ID) to sample all sorts of cannabis products, but the new focus on edibles is readily apparent. And that’s a good thing, folks, because oral ingestion is better for you than smoking.
Here’s a video sampler of what’s coming up Saturday and Sunday:
Greenway Compassionate Relief of Santa Cruz, whose biscotti nabbed first place for edibles at the High Times Medical Cannabis Cup in June. I spoke with Chef Amber and chocolatier Suzy Reinecke.
If you like hotties, they’ll be out in full force at the Ganja Juice booth, but the real attraction is a lab-tested liquid extract that allows for precise dosing in smoothies and other foods. I spoke with Ganja Juice’s Keith Hyatt.
Sonja Morley is the heart and soul of SoMo’s Urban Foods in Sacramento, a strong African-American woman with both vision and passion. It’s not just about business with her, it’s about love and compassion, too. How many other industries can you say that about?
